Privacy Policy

  1. Privacy Policy
    Introduction
1.1       We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our website visitors.

1.2       This policy applies where we are acting as a data controller with respect to the personal data of our website visitors; in other words, where we determine the purposes and means of the processing of that personal data.

1.3       When we use cookies on our website the cookies are strictly necessary for the provision of our website, we will ask you to consent to our use of cookies when you first visit our website.

1.4       We do not automatically collect any personal data on our website.  You will only receive marketing communications from us if you have requested to go on our mailing list, sign up to one of our webinars or request one of our free templates.  Our marketing is sent via email and with the option to unsubscribe.

1.5       In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Align the Arrows.  For more information about us, see Section 9.
    Use of your personal data
2.1       In this section we have set out the data processed from the website and how we distribute marketing communication

2.2       We do not store or retain any data for anyone who visits our website.  There is no background processing which captures, processes or passes on the data to any other source (such as IP address, location).

2.3       On the website there is a form that visitors can complete to request a free template.  At that point it is optional to enter details, and the name and email address are added to a secure CRM system in order that we can send out regular emails with news, events, offers and tips.  These are currently sent once a month, and every email includes the option to unsubscribe.  We will not automatically capture, store or send anything, a user will need to add their details.
Providing your personal data to others
3.1       This just won’t happen.  Our business has been created to help other businesses grow, our own business has zero interest in providing data to anyone else, especially for financial gain.
    Retaining and deleting personal data
4.1       We do not retain any personal data for anyone visiting the website.

4.2       We do not remove any client data from our secure CRM system unless requested to do so by the client, or if from time to time we see there is no engagement from the emails we send
    Amendments
5.1       We may update this policy from time to time by publishing a new version on our website.
    Your rights
6.1       We have intentionally set out to be as transparent as we can be, with the minimal amount of data captured and processed.  We do not collect or retain any data from visitors to our website, but you should read the relevant laws and guidance from the regulatory authorities for a full explanation of these rights.

    7.         About cookies

7.1       Cookies are delicious treats to be enjoyed in moderation.  Our favourite is raspberry and white chocolate.

7.2       HTTP cookies used on websites though serve useful and sometimes essential functions on the web. They enable web servers to store stateful information (such as items added in the shopping cart in an online store) on the user’s device or to track the user’s browsing activity (including clicking particular buttons, logging in, or recording which pages were visited in the past). They can also be used to save for subsequent use information that the user previously entered into form fields, such as names, addresses, passwords, and payment card numbers (yes I copied that from wikipedia).

7.3       Our website doesn’t retain this information, but you might see things like your name/email automatically pop up if you use the “contact us” section.  This magic happens as our service providers (like Google) use cookies.

7.4       If you click through to book a meeting or to download a template, cookies may also be used there, but the details will be contained in the Calendly or JotForm policies.  That’s because they are our service providers.

7.5       We do use Google Analytics to analyse how our website is used. Google gathers their analytic information by using cookies.  We don’t use much of the data Google captures, but it can help to see if the website is bringing any clients to us.  I asked my Google Hub what her favourite flavour cookie was, she said she didn’t know.

    8.         Managing cookies

8.1       If you don’t want cookies to be used, you will need to turn off the settings in your web browser (e.g. Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer).

8.2       Our website is relatively light on cookie use, but if you have any questions about how to block them, please get in touch.
